6 women run 140 km to spread fitness messageHyderabad:

The first edition of the Spirit of Pinkathon Hyderabad ‘Warangal2Hyderabad’ Run, which was flagged off by actor and fitness expert Milind Soman from Thousand Pillar Temple Warangal on March 1, concluded at Nagole Metro station on Sunday. Six women from Hyderabad finished running 140 km from Warangal to Hyderabad over three days to spread health and fitness for all women. None of these women are trained athletes, and they took up running for fitness.

Malavath Purna, a mountaineer from Nizamabad district, and KVB Reddy, MD, and CEO of L&T Metro Hyderabad received the runners at Nagole Metro station on Sunday. Driveby and L&T Metro support the run. Reddy said the grit, courage, and strength of these women to accomplish the task was terrific, especially when the objective is to spread awareness about women’s health-related issues, particularly breast cancer. The six women participants running from Warangal to Hyderabad are Rajitha Mynampally, Leena Roy, Vaishali Mane, Saritha Narita, Devyani Haldar Poonam Metta, said a press release.
