Describe your series in a few sentences.

My collection is formidable, self-expressive, vibrate, resilient, and “Avant Oppidan.”

What became the muse at the back of your series?

This series is called “The Perception of Us” and the misrepresentation of black human beings inside the style industry. This series takes you through a timeline of African tribes, slavery, segregation, and police brutality. I used African tribal prints, and the wording of “Danger” and “Caution” represents the stigma that black human beings must cope with every day. There are subtle nods to stories from each era that this race has persevered, including slavery, segregation, police brutality, and human rights. With that said, we are all one at the cease of the day, regardless of what race, faith, sexuality we are. If we come collectively and listen to one another, we will create beauty everywhere in the international.
