Suspended personnel individuals on the Mashonaland Central province include the provincial mining director.

Similar investigations have also resulted in surveyors’ suspension at the ministry’s Mashonaland West provincial mining office.

The ministry apologized to stakeholders for any inconveniences, which might be due to the temporary suspension of offerings, but was confident that it would be performed in the public interest.

The Mines ministry was also confident that each instance of malpractices could be investigated, with important corrective action being taken, extending to peggers, wherein they were complicit in malpractices. At the same time, tracking mechanisms were also being put in the region.
